Presentation Abstract:
The United States of America had one of the most unique founding and forms of government in the 18th century. It was my goal this school year to understand how America has transitioned politically from the earliest days of our formation into modern society. The United States has always had political disagreements between individuals of different ages, geographic locations, and education levels. Political parties have been created and disbanded, and their ideals have varied throughout the decades. Understanding how the United States has changed and developed throughout the past two hundred and fifty years can help us predict the future political movements in our country. Additionally, having a thorough knowledge of the successful and unsuccessful legislation of America’s previous lawmakers will enable our current leaders to make rational and informed decisions. As a result of the highly influential role of the United States on a global scale, it is exceedingly important that we continue to make smart policy choices to secure ourselves and our future.
